The home has represented principles of architecture and society. However here we have applied the notion of properties. Extensive properties are delineations of i.e. area, volume and proportion. These are properties that traditionally have a fixed application to architecture. Intensive properties produce turbulence and possibly a phase change i.e. speed, temperature, pressure or density. They occur at critical thresholds where matter transforms. Situated in an already hybrid home/artist residency, this exhibition provides the participants with the space of the house as a site for testing.
